The San Teodoro coast extends for 37 Km, pristine sand alternated by granite rocky outcrops, with its own unique beauty.
Three of the twelve San Teodoro beaches can be easily reached from the town centre: La Cinta, Cala d’Ambra and l’Isuledda.
The length of the coast and its variety will give you a daily choice of whether to attend an equipped beach or whether to hide away in a secluded cove.
The absence of currents, the shallow waters and fine sand also make San Teodoro ideal for families with children.
The beauty of this stretch of coastline is guaranteed by an effective environmental action: the coastline of San Teodoro is part of the protected marine Area of Tavolara – Punta Coda Cavallo, whose establishment, in 1997, had as its main aim the protection of biodiversity and the balance of marine environmental heritage.
Along the coast of San Teodoro are a number of diving spots (important dive sites) clearly indicated, where diving is permitted with or without the aid of diving centres (depending on the protection area).
A boat trip is ideal to discover the coast and the small coves, concluding the tour by disembarking on the beautiful island of Tavolara where time seems to have stopped. Here you can have lunch on the beach in the quaint little “Re di Tavolara” restaurant, that is still owned by the descendants of the King of Tavolara.
